- Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Procurement to UNICOR. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineer, Nashville District, Contracting Division, intends to issue a sole source purchase order for Replacement Signage in accordance with FAR Part 12 Regulations, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The award will go to UNICOR Federal Prison Industries. The Government intends to award a purchase order by other than full and open competition in accordance with Subpart 6.302-5(a)(2)(i), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 339950. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive offers or a solicitation of offers. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
