- NOTICE OF INTENT The 502d Contracting Squadron intends to award a sole-source contract to Meggitt Training Systems Inc. to acquire maintenance services for the Fire Arm Training Systems (FATS) Weapon Simulator. Meggitt Training Systems Inc. is the proprietary vendor and sole distributor of this service to the 343rd Training Squadron at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. The proposed contract action is for services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). Interested persons may identify their interested capability to respond to the requirement for consideration. This notice of intent is neither a request for competitive quotes nor a solicitation for offers. Interested persons may submit their interest and capability for future consideration no later than 4 August 2016. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
