Description

SPECIAL NOTICE Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 5.101(a)(1), the Small Business Act (15 U.S.C. 637(e)) and the Office of Federal Procurement Policy Act (41 U.S.C. 416), this Notice of Intent serves as the Department of Veterans Affairs' (VA) intention to award a sole source contract for Dental Imaging and Implant Manufacturing Services. Dentsply 570 W. College Avenue York, PA 17404 No solicitation will be forthcoming, pursuant to FAR 13.106-1, Soliciting Competition - (b) Soliciting from a single source. (1) For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name or industrial mobilization).
