- Description
- DLA Distribution Barstow, CA has identified a continued need for distribution and warehousing services which will be advertised under solicitation SP3300-16-R-5003. The scope of this requirement includes all management, personnel, and supervision, in addition to materiel, tools, equipment, transportation and any other items and services to meet the requirements of the Performance Work Statement (PWS). The incumbent contractor is Wolverine Services, LLC, performing under Contract SP3300-12-C-5001. This contract expires 30 June 2017. DLA Distribution Barstow, CA's primary mission is to plan, program, manage, and execute efficient and effective receiving, storage, inventory, stock readiness, issue processing, packaging, and distribution in support of on-base and worldwide customers. The requirement is for an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract with a five-year period of performance, inclusive of a three-month phase-in period. The estimated period of performance (PoP) dates for this requirement are shown below. PoP Dates Performance Period 1: 1 April 2017 - 31 March 2018* Performance Period 2: 1 April 2018 - 31 March 2019 Performance Period 3: 1 April 2019 - 31 March 2020 Performance Period 4: 1 April 2020 - 31 March 2021 Performance Period 5: 1 April 2021 - 31 March 2022 *Includes 90-day phase-in This acquisition will be solicited pursuant to full and open competition after the exclusion of sources, 100 percent 8(a) set aside in accordance with FAR 19.805, Competitive 8(a), under FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. Contract award will be made on the basis of competition limited to 8(a) concerns. It is anticipated that contract award will be made in March 2017. The NAICS code and Size Standard are 493110 and $27.5 million, respectively. All documents related to this notice will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities website. Prospective offerors are cautioned concerning their responsibility to access the website for any amendments/modifications and/or solicitation postings related to this pre-solicitation notice. There will be no advance notification of amendment/modification/solicitation issuance. Prospective offerors are advised to consult the website frequently to check for the issuance of amendments/modifications and/or solicitations. The tentative timeframe for issuance of the Request for Proposal (RFP) for the above stated requirement is on or around the week of August 22, 2016. A pre-proposal/site visit is scheduled to be conducted on August 23-24, 2016. Further information and instructions for registering for the pre-proposal/site visit will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities website.
