- Requests for Information as of 02 August 2016. Revised Statement of Work dated 01 August 2016. Amendment 001 This solicitation is for the Renovation of Hangar 421 at Eglin AFB, FL in support of the 96th Civil Engineer Group. Work to be included in this project consists of upgrade/repair/replacement of structural elements, building and room finishes, replacing windows, renovating restrooms, upgrading ventilation in machine shop, upgrading HVAC system, fire alarm systems, plumbing, communications and other building systems, lightning protection, and electrical system. The project also consists of demolition of existing doors, windows, ceilings, floors, associated finishes and components and replacement of these items. Work also includes asbestos abatement of flooring materials and insulation. See Statement of Work, Drawings, and Specifications. This acquisition is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 236620 with a size standard of $38.5M. This contract will be awarded in accordance with FAR Part 15, Negotiated Procedures. The contract will be a single award, Firm-Fixed-Price type contract. The estimated magnitude for the total project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The contract requirements will be awarded on two (2) contract line item numbers (CLINs) and any references to bid options in the requirements documents should be proposed under CLIN 0001. CLIN 0002 is solely for the fire suppression system and has a minor construction threshold of $1,000,000.00. The performance period to accomplish the renovation of Hangar 421 is 365 calendar days. A bid guarantee will be required to be submitted with proposals. Payment and performance bonds will be required within ten (10) days of contract award. Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a Government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the SAM database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number; recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. The solicitation amendments will be available only via the Internet at the following address: http://www.fbo.gov. For information on how to register your company on FBO, to view or receive updates and notifications to the solicitation, please reference the FBO Vendor Guide located on the FBO web site home page. NO paper copies of the impending solicitation will be furnished. The formal site visit will be convened on 08 August 2016 at 0830. Base access forms are due no later than COB 02 August 2016. Proposal due 25 August 2016 by 1300 CST. There will not be any technical amendments at this time.
