The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO 2) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc., 16 Electronics Avenue, Danvers, MA 01923 for monthly support services to include full maintenance and repair services (Gold level coverage) for various Siemens medical imaging equipment. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 8.405-6 Limited Source Justification Approval and no other vendor will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer by August 15, 2016 at 2:00 PM EST. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information must be sent to the Contracting Officer, Les Lecceardone, by email to Les.Lecceardone@va.gov. TELEPHONIC INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, NCO 2 will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc.
