- FBO Description of Requirement The objective of this procurement is a new contract for automation & instrumentation in the Chemistry Department of P&LMS. Contract is a cost-per-test agreement for a base year, plus 4 option years. The price of the reagents includes reagents, supplies, instruments, automation components, the auxiliary components, service, parts, training, installation, and validation. The Chemistry Department is seeking a contract with a base year and four (4) option years. The cost-per-test contract pricing should include all costs associated with automation, instrumentation, reagents, consumables, calibrators, quality control materials, water filtration system, uninterrupted power supplies, service, parts, training, shipping, middleware, interfacing, installation, and validation studies for a large clinical laboratory chemistry department running approximately 2.6 million chemistry and immunoassay tests per year. The Chemistry Department currently analyzes approximately 1600 blood tubes every day, with a test menu of 107 assays and an annual testing volume of 2.6 million tests. For the past 12 years, the Chemistry Department has utilized three Abbott Architect ci8200 platforms. With the advent of this new contract, the Chemistry Department is seeking to add automation and an expanded middleware solution, along with new instrumentation. A total laboratory automation system will allow the Chemistry Department to meet the needs of the patients and providers with greater efficiency by providing consistent, predictable sample management and minimizing opportunities for error. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. Please advise if you carry this product are a suitable "or equal".
