- The purpose of amendment 0001is as follows: 1. To provide the following questions and responses: Question 1:...Can you please confirm that the optical portion of this system is not required? Response 1: Optical access is not a requirement. The Cryocooler must cool the sample, with the wiring connections as described and fit within the pole pieces of the NMR magnet, as represented in the drawing Question 2: There is no cooling capacity requirements laid out in the solicitation. Please advise if you have any requirements related to the cooling capacity... Response 2: No specific cooling power is required provided that the Cryocooler can reach the base temperatures in the time required (Spec 3). The vendor can assume the only heat load at steady state is radiative from the internal side of the vendor's specific heat shield configuration and the conductive heat load from the vendor offered wire sets and sample socket (spec 1,2, and 6). 2. Specification number 14 is hereby removed in its entirety. 3. Specification number 8 is hereby amended as follows: FROM: Shall have the ability to operate in any arbitrary orientation with less than 10% of its performance capabilities relative to the optimum configuration TO: The cryocooler shall have the ability to operate in any arbitrary orientation with less than 10% of its performance capabilities relative to the optimum configuration (specifically oriented wither horizontally or vertically). 4. The delivery section is hereby amended as follows: Deliverable one (1) - An operators manual and a complete set of electrical and mechanical schematic diagrams/drawings shall be submitted with the delivery of the system Delivery: Delivery shall be FOB Destination and shall occur not later than twenty-four (24) weeks ARO.
