Description

The West Texas VA Health Care System (WTVAHCS), located in Big Spring, TX 79720, is seeking Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business (SDVOSB) sources capable of providing the equipment and installation listed below. The acquisition will be accomplished using commercial item procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12. NOTE: TO QUALIFY SDVOSB VENDORS MUST BE CERTIFIED IN THE VA VENDOR INFORMATION DATABASE (VIP). 6 Seat & 4 Seat (Golf) Carts: TECHNICAL REQUIRMENTS A.GENERAL INFORMATION a.Title of Project: 6 Passenger and 4 Passenger Golf Carts for Veteran Shuttle Service b.Scope of Work: A 6 passenger and a 4 passenger golf carts are needed for pickup and drop off of Veterans who park in the parking lot and need transportation to their clinic. The golf cart is used daily by VA staff to pick up Veterans and transport them to buildings throughout the Amarillo VA campus. The unit should be battery operated and operate on a single charge for approximately 5 hours/day. It should comfortably sit 6 passengers plus a driver. It should have a normal step-in height and not be lifted. The cart should have a canopy and side curtains. c.Background: Current passenger carts are aging and suffering from reliability issues. When the unit is out-of-service, there is no transportation available for Veterans. d.Performance Period: 1 year e.Type of Contract: The government agrees to contractor price based on quality B.General Requirements for 6 passenger cart: a.8 passenger golf cart modified to 6 passenger seating; all forward facing seats. b.MOTOR: Premium 4.5kw AC Motor c.CONTROLLER: 450Amp Programmable d.FABRICATION: Aluminum Chassis and construction to avoid corrosion issues. e.CHARGER: 110 volt 15 Amp-48v. f.STEERING: Rack and Pinion. g.BATTERIES: (6) 8v High Quality American Brand Deep Cycle. h.WHEELS/TIRES: 10" Tires with Hubcaps. i.BRAKES: Rear Wheel Mechanical Drum Brakes / Emergency Brake j.LIGHT PACKAGE: Dual Headlights, Taillights, Brake Lights, & Horn. k.STATE OF CHARGE METER: Included. l.WINDSHIELD: Folding. m.CANOPY: Top Included. n.SEAT PLATFORM: Approximately 10 sq. ft. o.SEAT COLOR: Tan, white or grey p.VEHICLE COLOR: White, Tan, Blue or Red q.8 Passenger - Marine Grade Sunbrella Canvas Fabric and Vinyl Enclosure r.Solar Top Power Charging System.
