- Description
- The below requirements are in the support of the Naval Postgraduate School s Modeling, Virtual Environments, and Simulations (MOVES) Institute This Solicitation may result in one or two separate purchase orders. Contractors may submit technical quotes for each or both of the requirements listed below. Requirement 1. Data Collection on Military Simulations for Use in Education See Full Performance Based Statement of Work attached to the posted Combined Synopsis/Solicitation. Scope: Gather, collate, and present information on any established unclassified of program of record, military simulations and simulation interfaces (hereafter referred to as simulations ) currently in use by the United States Joint Forces Command, United States Navy, United States Marine Corps, and United States Army in order to inform a recommendation on possible future use of those simulations in support of the MOVES curriculum. The contractor shall focus on military simulations belonging to established programs of record in order to ensure future academic relevancy. The simulations of interest are used by the services in the domains of Training, Analysis, and Acquisition, as well as simulation interfaces that enable traffic to flow between different simulations and/or Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) devices. Information gathered will include fielding requirements, operational requirements, sustainment requirements, and applicability to educational use. The overall goal of this requirement is to provide MOVES with the technical information on which simulations are available enhance the education of Navy, Marine Corps, and Army students in the MOVES curriculum. The simulations that we are interested on gathering information on are: All simulation information must be unclassified and publically available and applicable to an established program of record. Joint Simulations Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF) Navy Simulations Architecture Management Integration Environment (AMIE) Modeling and Simulation Support Plans (MSSP) Next Generation Threat System (NGTS) Marine Corps Simulations Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) Tactical Warfare Simulation (MTWS) Combined Arms Command and Control Trainer Upgrade Simulation (CACCTUS) Framework for Assessing Cost and Technology (FACT) Army Simulations Virtual Battlefield Simulator (VBS3) Standard Interface for Multiple Platform Link Evaluation (SIMPLE) One Semi-Automated Forces (OneSAF) Requirement 2. Data Collection on C4I Devices for Use in Education - See Full Performance Based Statement of Work attached to the posted Combined Synopsis/Solicitation. Scope: Gather, collate, and present information on 10 C4I devices currently in use by the United States Joint Forces Command, United States Navy, United States Marine Corps, and United States Army in order to inform an educational and technical application on possible future use of those devices in support of the MOVES curriculum. Information gathered will include fielding requirements, operational requirements, sustainment requirements, and applicability to educational use. The overall goal of this requirement is to provide MOVES with the technology and capability details on which C4I devices can be used to enhance the education of students in the MOVES curriculum. Devices for the context of this Performance Based Statement of Work (SOW) is referring to information systems that are used for C4I purposes by the military Including the hardware and/or software. The contactor shall identify devices that are able to communicate with simulations. While discussions are not anticipated, the Government reserves the right to do so. Award will be Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) for the services detailed in the accompanying SOW. Travel is anticipated. The period of performance is from the date of award estimated in the Statement of Work See attached Performance Based SOWs for each requirement and combined Request for Quote
