- This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis (market survey). This is not a request for quote (RFQ) or a request for proposal (RFP). This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The Government will not pay for any cost incurred in responding to this announcement. Any information submitted by respondents to this Sources Sought synopsis shall be voluntary. This Sources Sought Notice is for Market Research purposes only. The information submitted in response to the Sources Sought Notice will not be utilized to determine vendor standing in any future/potential Request for Quote/Request for Proposal, nor will it be utilized to determine if a vendor is qualified to submit a Request for Quote/Request for Proposal for any future/potential requirement. The notice and the information received shall not be used to determine how well respondents can perform a requirement, which can only be evaluated in response to a solicitation. Vendors will not receive formal notification or feedback on any information submitted in this Sources Sought request. All future/proposed submissions/solicitations requirements solicited on a Government Point of Entry will be evaluated independent of any information submitted in response to this Sources Sought Notice. No vendor will be provided information on solicitations issued on a Government Point of Entry based on this Sources Sought request. This Sources Sought Notice is relative to the NAICS code 517410 The Small Business size standard for this NAICS code is $32.5M. Large and Small Businesses are invited to answer this market survey to determine market capabilities. Hurlburt Field, FL, is conducting market research to determine the existence of potential sources to provide maintenance/repair/refurbishment on the following items to meet the manufacturer's specifications and or/recommendations. CLIN 0001: Replace retractable pin on each of 14 ViaSat VR-12 C-130 Hatch-mount Ku Satellite Antenna, (PN 1078694, SN 514, 487, 488, 489, 498, 499, 500, 502, 503, 516, 517, 518, and 305). The contractor shall replace the existing retractable pin currently in use on fielded hatches with the newly designed pin. The modified pin shall be provided to the Government prior to final acceptance and payment is approved. CLIN 0002: Inspect and Refurbish four (4) ViaSat VR-12 C-130 Hatch-mount Ku Satellite Antenna, (PN 1078694, SN 305, 487, 488, and 489). AFSOC requires the full inspection and refurbishment of four (4) antenna, hatch, and radomes. Refurbishment shall include the replacement of all commonly worn parts including all gears, motors, bearings, wheels, magnets, and the inspection of all connectors, wires, cables, and hardware with full replacement of any additional part determined to be worn or having any corrosion. The radomes shall be inspected, the hatch seal replaced, and the radome repainted. The Government shall be notified in writing of all services provided and parts replaced. All work shall be performed at contractor's facility. At a minimum, include a capabilities statement to include any authority from the manufacturer (ViaSat) to work on this proprietary ViaSat equipment or documentation certifying your facility is an authorized ViaSat repair facility.
