Description

Limited Sources Justification The IRS has a requirement to modify a recently awarded GSA delivery Order for Bomgar software licenses and software maintenance. The Customer Service Support (CSS) organization provides IT technical support to customers within the IRS. Earlier in FY 16, the IRS implemented the base Bomgar Remote Support Tool software and production appliances. The Bomgar tool suite has the capability to integrate with the IRS' ticketing system, HP Service Manager, known in the IRS as KISAM. Integrating Bomgar with KISAM provides the business with the ability to leverage the functionality of both applications to resolve and document customer issues more efficiently. In addition, Bomgar session data will be auto-populated into the customer's ticket, eliminating the need to manually record detailed troubleshooting actions. The CSS organization requires the procurement of: (1) a testing/development appliance/platform to allow changes and updates to be implemented without impact to the production systems, and (2) the Bomgar integration software to support the development and production implementation of the Bomgar/HP Service Manager interface. Based on the above it has been determined that this is a logical follow-on requirement.
