SOURCES SOUGHT RUBB Facility Repair General Information Document Type: Sources Sought Notice Response Due Date: 11 August 2016 Classification Code: 3448 - Prefabricated Metal Buildings NAICS Code: 332311- Prefabricated Metal Building and Component Manufacturing NOTE: For companies interested in this notice, please ensure responses account for the requested information outlined below. Overview This Sources Sought is issued as part of Market Research to identify vendors to potentially establish a purchase order for the supply and instalment of replacement sheets for a RUBB facility, at RAF Mildenhall, United Kingdom Contracting Office Address Department of the Air Force, United States Air Force Europe, 48 CONS/LGCB - Lakenheath, RAF Lakenheath Unit 5070 Box 270, RAF Lakenheath, Brandon, Suffolk IP27 9PN Pricing/Payment Information The US Government does not allow payment to be furnished to the vendor until the item has been delivered and accepted. Additionally, payment under US Government Contracts must be made by means of Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT.) Vendors who wish to be considered for a purchase order shall be registered with SAM (System Acquisition Management) and WAWF (Wide Area Work Flow). Note that there is not an associated cost to register accounts under the aforementioned databases. Description The anticipated purchase order requires the Contractor will manufacture and deliver to site one set of new sheets for 20m x 57m facility. The contractor will remove existing PVC sheets, base perimeter timber, aluminum finishing strips, and lacings. Installation of new sheeting will include: new timber to base perimeter, new aluminum finishing strip to base perimeter, and new lacing to external sheets. New Sheets will be fitted to existing facility, and will be a PVC coated polyester fabric. The PVC fabric will be dark grey color, flame retardant, and self-extinguishing. Contractor will remove and dispose of existing sheeting, removed timber, aluminum finishing strips, and lacings of existing RUBB facility. Contractor will guarantee replacement PVC fabric will be free from detoriation in usefulness for a period of 10 years, and workmanship of replacement will be guaranteed for 12 months from the date of delivery. Delivery Information The destination delivery location is RAF Mildenhall and will be designated FOB Destination. The contractor will be liable for any damage or costs incurred FOB Destination. Delivery shall be completed within 8 weeks from contract award, and installation time on site will be 4 weeks. Requested Information The following is requested from interested companies; •1. Please indicate if your company is willing/able to provide the specified replacement sheets and accessories to include installation with warranties. •2. Is there an equal product of a different brand that your company is able to provide? If so, please provide the Manufacturing Part #, National Stock Number, along with the name/description of the product and salient characteristics. Please provide brochures / descriptive literature commonly provided to the general public if possible. •3. Based upon the above description and delivery information, are there any aspects that are unclear and/or do not allow a clear understanding of the US Government's requirements? •4. Based upon the above description and delivery information, are there commercial industry practices that appear to differ greatly than what is being requested by the US Government under the anticipated, forthcoming solicitation/tender?
