COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE ISSUED SYNOPSIS: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the Federal Business Opportunities website to ensure that they have the most up to date information about this acquisition. The solicitation number AG-1A23-S-16-0041 is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) and is being conducted as a 100% total small business set aside. The North American Classification System Code is 238210; Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors. This RFQ incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-76. This requirement will be awarded as a commercial item, fixed price purchase order under the procedures at FAR Parts 12 and 13. DESCRIPTION: The United States Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Services (NRCS) Cape May Plant Materials Center (PMC) located at 1536 Route 9 North, Cape May Court House, New Jersey, 08210 has a requirement for the purchase and installation of one (1) 50KW Natural Gas Emergency Standby Generators with one (1) Transfer Switch. This is a requirement for a fixed price purchase in which the work will consist of purchasing and installing one (1) 50KW Natural Gas Emergency Standby Generator and one (1) transfer switch to include transportation and installation, i.e., site preparation, in the event of an electrical power outrage at the Cape May PMC. See Statement for Work (SOW) for full details. Interested vendors can review the work site on Monday, August 22, 2016 between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 11:00 A.M. Eastern Standard Time (EST) Review of the work site is not mandatory, however, we highly recommend attending the site visit to understand the full scope of work needed.
