Description
Technical questions and answers: Is this for (2) vacuum pumps. Is it a total ACFM of 1,650 or is that for each pump? Two pumps, 1650 ACFM each. Is the ACFM referenced at the 24" hg V or is that at inlet conditions? 1650 ACFM @ 24" Hg In the text of the description, it states 2 - Rotary Screw Vacuum Pumps but in the specifications it mentions and inlet pressure of " <26 in Hg vacuum" and Outlet pressure of "20 in Hg vacuum" ? The pump exhaust was originally intended to exhaust to atmosphere, but it may be more convenient to exhaust into our lab-wide altitude exhaust which is maintained at approximately 2.0 psia. Assume atmospheric exhaust conditions. This specification is not consistent with a Rotary Screw Vacuum pump. These specifications are more consistent with a Rotary Roots Blower. Please define which it is you wish to acquire? If you have an example of a "same as or equal too" specification it would also be helpful. If the defining difference is the exhaust pressure, assume atmospheric exhaust. A separate quote for a Rotary Roots Blower will also be considered if it is more appropriate for a vacuum exhaust. Can you please clarify the inlet and outlet conditions of this requirement? See above. To more accurately quote a pump that meets the specifications listed, do you know the total length of 8" process line to be used on this application and approximate cubic feet of the wind tunnel, or the make and model number of the pump used to obtain the listed specifications? The process line will be about 40-50 feet from the wind tunnel test section to the pump inlet. The wind tunnel is an open loop continuous flow facility that flows up to 13 lbm/s. The vacuum pump is used to bleed the boundary-layer from the wind tunnel walls.
