Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. This is NOT a request for proposals. A solicitation will not be issued at this time. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS) has a requirement for Censis Hardware Upgrade and Training. The intent of the procurement is to award a firm-fixed price contract. The Statement of Work (SOW) defines the effort required for the purchase and delivery of the system to the SAVAHCS. Items Request/ Unique Features: SAVAHCS requires upgrades to the currently SAVAHCS owned Censis Hardware Upgrade and Training with the following minimal standard components and advanced analysis package that will provide: CT0154- Hardware - Cognex DM 8600 Bundle - This scanner is responsible for scanning the instruments to the trays for container assembly within the department. They are configured specific for use with CensisTrac when purchased with Censis. CT0024 - Hardware - Label Printer with Network Card - Specific label printer for labels used on containers, peel packs, locations, etc. CT0071 - Hardware - Laser Jet Printer - A laser jet printer for the facility to print their count sheets for the trays and send up to the OR. CT0156 Hardware - MC55A PDA Set - is a PDA handset that the technicians will use to scan containers and case carts to the OR. These hold the application so techs have the mobile option of scanning trays to their home location in the facility. CT0030 - Hardware - Small Form Factor PC - Small form factor with Intel Core i3 3.4GHz CPU equivalent or higher, 4GB RAM, 500 GB hard drive, 8X DVD-ROM drive, Windows 7 Professional or higher, Dell standard service warranty. CT0056 - Hardware - Touch screen monitor - 22" widescreen format - TR1000 - Training Weekly Rate - Is Censis 1-week onsite training for the hardware utilization and troubleshooting in the Central Sterile Department. SCOPE OF WORK: The Vendor will deliver all equipment to SAVAHCS 3601 S 6th ave, Tucson, Arizona 85723, and SAVAHCS Biomed will install the system. Vendor will offer customer service support regarding any issues or concerns with the equipment. The vendor, will do onsite Censis training for 1-week, on the hardware utilization and troubleshooting in the Central Sterile Department for the Biomed staff at SAVAHCS regarding. The life expectancy of this equipment, barring accidental misuse or abuse, would sustain the Sterile Processing department and staff for many years. The importance of this equipment is to expand and improve the quality of services provided to veterans. The replaced equipment will NOT BE traded-in to Contractor, but will be retained by SAVAHCS for proper disposition. INSTALLATION: Pre-Installation Assessment; the contractor shall perform the following: The manufacturer/vendor will provide all necessary procedure manuals, troubleshooting manuals, and operator manuals to Biomed. The manufacturer/vendor of the Censitrac system will define maintenance requirements of the system (including daily, weekly, monthly, and as needed maintenance) and indicate what maintenance is performed by the user and what is not; and The manufacturer/vendor will provide information on technical capability, per on final product(s) acquired based on Biomed training. Coordinate installation per VA employee (Biomed) work schedule - Monday - Friday, 8am-4:30pm, excluding holidays. All installation methods shall be in accordance with the printed instructions of the manufacturer. Maintain areas free of waste materials, debris, and rubbish. Maintain site in a clean and orderly condition. SOUTHERN ARIZONA VA HEALTH CARE SYSTEM (SAVAHCS): SAVAHCS Address: 3601 S 6th Ave, Tucson, AZ 85723 The applicable NAICS code is 334111 | Electronic Computer Manufacturing. Small Business manufacturers for this NAICS code have a size standard is 1,250. The resulting contract will be a firm fixed price order. The term of the contract is intended to be 30 calendar days ARO, with no options included. It is anticipated that a Request for Quotes will be issued in September, 2016. Award of a firm fixed price contract is contemplated by September, 2016. This notice is published to conduct market research to determine if there is a sufficient number of certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), Small Businesses (SB), or Large Business capable of performing the requirements to warrant a socio-economic set-aside or full & open competition. It is strongly recommended that interested parties register in the US Department of Veterans Affairs Vet Biz database and the Small Business Administration (SBA) database. Registration may be accomplished at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/ and www.sba.gov/, respectively. Interested parties responding to this sources sought request shall submit the following information at a minimum: (1) company name and address, point of contact with phone number, and DUNS number; (2) documentation relating to capability of performance of residential renovation projects (including references); (3) intentions of subcontracting program to include set-asides; (4) proof of registration in the VA Vet Biz or SBA websites or intention of registration prior to submission of offers to a solicitation; (5) documentation on company's bonding capacity and limitations; and (6) any other pertinent company documentation. The response date to this Sources Sought notice is August 10th, 2016 at 12:00 pm EST time. This market research is for informational and planning purposes only to determine if a socio-economic set-aside, or full & open competition, or sole-source procurement is appropriate. The Government will not pay any costs for responses submitted. Electronic submissions are acceptable via dena.hallaren@va.gov.
