- This is not a pre-solicitation notice. THIS IS A SOLICITATION REQUESTING QUOTATIONS TO CONSTRUCT A NEW ENTRANCE SIGN SUPPORT STRUCTURE AT THE VISITOR CENTER located at Olympic National Park. The intent of this project is to construct a new entrance sign support structure consisting of a 350 square foot reinforced concrete base on compacted crushed rock with river rock-in-mortar surface in addition to supplying and installing hand-peeled pressure treated logs, which will be attached to the concrete base with a double-galvanized welded steel connector device designed specifically for this project. The project also includes installation of a new entrance sign to be supplied by the National Park Service. The project includes removal and disposal of the existing entrance sign with concrete and stone support structure and seeding of all disturbed areas with grass seed. The Contractor shall recognize that this project work site is within Olympic National Park. The Contractor, in accepting the award of this project, accepts responsibility in fulfilling the mission of the National Park Service. Specifically, the Contractor shall be responsible for; ¿protecting, through efforts at every level of the organization, the natural and cultural resources within park which are impacted by work on this project ¿maintaining, through efforts at every level of the organization, including sub-contractors and suppliers, excellent relations with Park visitors and staff The Contractor, upon accepting this contract, becomes a representative of the National Park Service and will join with the National Park Service in maintaining the experience available to the visiting public within Olympic National Park. PHYSICAL ADDRESS: Olympic National Park Visitor Center, 3002 Mt Angeles Road, Port Angeles, WA 98362. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE for this project is 90 calendar days. Target start date is November 1, 2016. Target completion date is February 28, 2017. The contractor shall look for reasonable weather windows during that time period to accomplish the work. The time stated for completion shall include final cleanup of the premises. OTHER INFO. All work will be performed under a single contract. In the event that competitive quotes are not received for this solicitation, an offeror may be required to submit cost and pricing data or information other than cost and pricing data. This project is being solicited and awarded as a total (100%) Small Business Set-Aside in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 19.502-2. The NAICS code is 237990, Park and recreational open space improvement construction, with an associate small business size standard of $36.50 million. Magnitude of Construction is between $25,000 and $100,000. It is the responsibility of the offerors to monitor the FBO website to download all amendments and attachments which may also be issued against the solicitation prior to the solicitation's closing date.
