Description
General: The National Park Service, Department of Interior, intends to negotiate a sole source A-E procurement with Beyer Blinder Belle, Architects and Planners, LLC (BBB), to acquire the below listed services. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The aforementioned contractor has currently performed/completed the initial planning, predesign, design and construction document services for the USPP D1 substation. As a result of their technical expertise regarding the drawings, specifications, site constraints, commissioning, utility requirements and security requirements, the Government believes that the identified contractor is the "only one responsible source" as defined by FAR 6.302-01 (a)(2)(ii) for the required services. Firms that believe they can provide the required services described below are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notice to the Contracting Officer. Firms believing they can provide the required services must provide supporting evidence in sufficient detail to demonstrate the respondent's ability for the stated requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. All responses received within 15 days of the date of Public Posting of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Inquiries will only be accepted by e-mail to both the primary and secondary points of contact provided in this announcement: Alan Stormont - alan_stormont@nps.gov and Albert O'Mara - albert_omara@nps.gov. Responses should include the firm's Dun and Bradstreet number and identification of business size in accordance with the size standard. Title of Project: Mitigate Flooding Risk at Hains Point Facilities, Construction Services for the USPP D1 Substation Description: The work of these proposed contract actions consist of architect-engineer construction and construction commissioning services for the aforementioned project. Type of Procurement: A negotiated, A-E sole source firm-fixed price contract is anticipated.
