Description

This is a Special Notice of Intent to Sole Source. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 12, VA Great Lakes Health Care System, in accordance with FAR 6.302.1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements) intends to solicit from only one source, Peak Scientific, 19 Sterling Rd, Suite 1, Billerica, MA 01862 for the procurement of a full service contract including preventative maintenance and emergency repair of a Peak Scientific Genius 3020 Nitrogen Generator for the period of October 1, 2016 to September 30, 2017 with four (4) pre-priced one (1) year option periods. The equipment to be serviced is located at the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital. Peak Scientific is the only vendor authorized to service Peak Scientific products and does not authorize third party vendors to conduct maintenance or service on their products and no other vendor can provide hardware and software updates to proprietary Peak equipment. NAICS code 811219 applies. This special notice of intent to sole source is not a solicitation or a request for quotations. No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government and must include a capabilities statement clearly demonstrating that the interested vendor is capable of fully completing these services. Responses must be received no later than 3:00 pm CST on August 17, 2016. Responses must be directed to the Contracting Officer at Jaclyn.alverson@va.gov with the subject line referencing this FBO special notice.
