The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6, is conducting market research to identify potential Vendor Information Pages (VIP) Verified (www.vip.vetbiz.gov) Service Disabled / Veteran Owned Business (SD/VOSB) sources which can provide the following equipment: Portable Pick and Carry Mini Crane for use in hoisting and carrying objects for maintenance/repair at Richmond (VA) VAMC. Portable Pick and Carry Mini Crane must include the following functions to be performed; performance required; and/or essential physical characteristics and dimensions: a) Meets ASME B30.5 standards b) 100 ft. ¼ in. steel cable c) Hydraulic jack with controls d) Battery operated e) Non-marking wheels (won't scuff interior flooring) f) Indoor/Outdoor use g) Counterweight system (fill with water, sand, cement, etc) h) Pick and carry ability i) Safety stops on boom j) Weatherproof on-board charger k) Rear steer wheels with locking brakes l) Magnetic degree finder located on boom m) One person operation Essential physical characteristics: a) Max load capacity:2,000 lbs b) Weight:less than 1,500 lbs c) Speed:30 feet per minute d) Hook height:18 ft e) Fits through 36 in. doorways and inside elevators f) Steering:rear wheels connected to handle RESPONSES SHOULD INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION: company name, address, and business size; point of contact name, phone number, and e-mail address; suggested equipment information including manufacturer, model and delivery schedule; whether system is presently offered on a current GSA Federal Supply Schedule contract; and any other pertinent information that demonstrates the company's ability to meet the above requirements. Potential SD/VOSB's having the capabilities necessary to provide the above stated equipment are invited to respond to this Sources Sought Notice via e-mail to Matthew R. Gray at Matthew.Gray@va.gov no later than August 15, 2016, 5:00 PM EST. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation for bids, proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. The responses received from interested contractors will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 333999.
