Description

JOFOC Solicitation This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and no other solicitation document will be issued. The NASA/SSC Office of Procurement intends to award a firm‐fixed price contract for the purchase of high quality large scan area scanning hardware and supporting software. The items listed are to be "Name Brand". All items are to be new items. Used or refurbished items are not acceptable and will not be considered for award. This is a brand name commercial acquisition under the authority of FAR Part 12 and FAR Subpart 13.5. The Government believes only one brand name can provide the services that will satisfy the Agency's requirements. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 334118 and 1000 employees respectively. FOB is destination. Responses are due NLT 4:00 p.m. (local time) on August 19, 2016. An ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B".
