Description

Justification for ACESS Earpieces The 177th Fighter Wing intends to award a sole source contract to Westone Laboratories, 2235 Executive Circle, Colorado Springs, CO 80906 for the Attenuating Custom Communications Earpiece System (ACCES). This procurement is being made pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(2) and FAR 6.302-1, for other than full and open competition; only one responsible source. Awarding to another vendor will result in a substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition and unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements. Westone Laboratories is the manufacturer of the ACCES Earpieces. All qualified sources must respond not later than Noon, EST Wednesday, 17 August 2016. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses should be e-mailed to Ms. Johanna Paz at usaf.nj.177-fw.list.fal-msc-contracting@mail.mil. No telephone or fax inquiries will be accepted.
