- This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source contract and is not a request for competitive proposals. Naval Medical Research Center (NMRC) intends to solicit a proposal and enter into a contract with Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC), Leiden Netherlands.The statutory for this sole source procurement is 10 U.S,C, 2304(c)(1) per FAR Part 6.302-1(c). The NAICs code for this action is 325413. This requirement will be procrement under the guidelines of FAR Part 12 Commercial Services, NMRC requires that all contractors doing business with the Acquisition Office must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM). No award can be made unless the vendor is registered in SAM. For additional information and to register in SAM, please access the following website: https://www.sam.gov/. In order to register with the CCR/SAM and to be eligible to receive an award from this acquisition office, all offerors must have a Dun & Bradstreet Number. A Dun & Bradstreet number may be acquired free of charge by contacting Dun & Bradstreet online at https://www.dnb.com/products/eupdate/requestOption.html. or by phone (800) 333-0505. The following requirement are: Item # Description Qty. 001. Task 1: Generate a single transgenic Pb line for 1 EA. Pf E140 antigen. a) A single transgenic Pb line expressing PF E140. b) Genotype data confirming the repplacement of E140 gene c) Data confirming the phenotype of the chimeric sporozoites indicating its viavility and infectivity in DC1 mice. 002. Task 2: Generate a double transgenci Pb line for Pf E140 1 EA. and Pf Falstatin antigens. a) A double transgenic Pb line expressing Pf E140 and and Pf Falstatin antigens. b) Genotype data confirming the replacement of e140 and Falstatin genes. c) Data confirming the phenotype of the chimeric sporozoites indicating theirs viability and infectivity in CD1 mice. 003. Task 3: Generate a double transgenic Pb line 1 EA for Pf e140 and Pf CSP antigens. a) A double transgenic Pb line expressing Pf E140 and CSP antigens. b) Genotype data confirming the replacement of E140 and CSP genes. c) Data confirming the phenotyp of the chimeric sporozoites indicating their viability and infectivity in CD1 mice. 004. Task 4: Generate a double transgenic Pb line 1 EA. for Pf Falstatin and Pf CSP antigens. a) A double transgenic Pb line expressing Pf Falstatin and Pf CSP antigens. b) Genotype data confirming the replacement of Falstatin and CSP genes. c) Data confirming the phenotype of the Tr Parasite indicating its viability and infectivity in CD1 mice. 005. Task 5: Generate a triple transgenic Pb line for Pf E140, 1 EA. Pf Falstatin, and Pf CSP antigens. a) A Pb line that express all three antigens: Pf E140, Pf Falstatin and Pf CSP antigens by replacing Pb Falstatin and Pf E140 genes by their Pf ortholog genes on a Pf CSP transgenic Pb parasite. The CSP transgenic line has been developed at LUMC by Dr. Shahid Khan. b) Characterize the genotyp and phenotype of the triple Tr line to confirm the correct replacement and the viability of the parasite to infect CD1 mice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government shall consider all response received with 15 days from this posting. Written responses to this shall contain sufficient documentation to establish bonafide capability to fullfill the requirement. A solicitation is not availabe.
