- This solicitation is being issued as Request for Quote (RFQ). Written quotes are being requested. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a solicitation from the United States Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Eastern Acquisition Division-Kansas City (EAD-KC), 601 East 12 th Street, Room 1734, Kansas City, MO 64106. The intended acquisition is for the equipment listed below for the NOAA Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory (AOML) to be used on bottom-lander moorings. The requirements for the items are as follows: Acoustic Release Transponder (Qty: 21) Release load of at least 250 Kg Water depth rated to at least 3000 meters Non lever mechanism for release function Battery life of up to 5 years Communication Frequency of 17KHz – 26 KHz Deck Unit (Qty: 2) Portable with battery power option RS-232 port Capable of communication frequency between 17KHz – 26 KHz Waterproof Backlit and extended temperature display Shipping Charges All items under this contract shall be FOB Destination and the place of acceptance is U.S. Department of Commerce/NOAA/ Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory (AOML) located at 4301 Rickenbacker Causeway, Miami, FL 33149. This is a 100% Set-Aside for Small Business, the associated NAICS code is 334519 with a size standard of 500 employees. This acquisition is being processed under the procedures of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This notice is hereby issued as RFQ No. NRMAD000-16-01258.
