- Description
- Request for Information Document_RFI_GSASPB-16-RFI-0002 The General Services Administration (GSA), Federal Acquisition Service (FAS), Center for Innovative Acquisition Development (CIAD)/Special Programs Branch is seeking information on what services are offered by industry to combat the rising threat of the Zika virus. According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the Zika virus is spread mostly by the bite of an infected Aedes Aegypti mosquito. This RFI is meant to achieve the following goals: 1. Identify services available to help prevent the spread of the Zika virus by the Aedes Aegypti mosquito. This includes outlining the scope of services related to aerial spraying and/or ground pest control. 2. Identify concerns and potential barriers to combating Zika via an aerial or on-the-ground approach. 3. Identify pricing structures associated with these services. Please see the attachment RFI_GSASPB-16-RFI-0002 for more information. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Furthermore, the GSA is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondents are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party's expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor the solicitation website(s) such as FedBizOpps, and/or eBuy, etc, where a potential solicitation of a future requirement may be published.
