Description

This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals (RFP) or request for quotes (RFQ) and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their SBA size classification in relation to NAICS 336211. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. Responses to this notice shall be in writing and include the following: a)Company name b)Address c)Point of contact d)Phone, fax, and email e)DUNS number f)Cage Code g)Tax ID Number h)Type of small business, e.g. Services Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), 8(a), HUBZone, Women Owned Small Business (WOSB), Small Disadvantaged Business, or Small Business i)Must provide a capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to perform as a contractor for the work described below j)Provide any certifications, licenses and /or other pertinent documents/evidence that is required to perform the requested services. k)If possible, provide an estimate price for the request service below. All interested offeror(s) will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought announcement. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 22, is seeking a source to provide services in support of the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (VAGLAHS) Engineering department. The VAGLAHS Engineering is seeking a contractor's services to install a lift gate onto a vehicle located at 11301 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90073. The contractor's shall install a lift gate onto the following vehicle with the following specifications: "GSA vehicle: G82-0013N VIN#: DV798178 "FORD F-750 " 96" Width and Bed height-55.5" With the following type lift gate: "Model ILK-33 "Level ride "Cantilever (flip up) "Steel Platform (changing out 800mm arms for 900mm) "Platform size: 96" wide x 72" deep wedge "Lifting capacity-3,300 lbs. "Automatic leveling "Warning lights on tip of platform "150 Amp Resettable Breaker "Hydraulic Cylinder locks "Cab shut-off switch "Hand held remote control "Ground rollers on platform clevis to protect ground surface "Use existing lights "Installation of flip up door and seal kit "Installation of battery box, tie down, circuit breaker, isolator solenoid After reviewing this notice and believe that your firm can provide the requested services, please submit the information as outlined in the first paragraph. Responses to this notice shall be emailed to the attention of Alejandro M. Gonzalez at Alejandro.gonzalez2@va.gov and with the following information in the subject line of the email: "VA262-16-N-1279 - VEHICLE LIFT GATE INSTALLATION". Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received no later than August 17, 2016, 4:30 PM Pacific Daylight Time (PDT), Important information: The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued.
