Description
Request for Quote (RFQ) This combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items is prepared in accordance with the format at FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number W913E5-16-T-0025 is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333911, which has a size standard of 750 employees. This requirement is a small business set-aside. The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL) has a requirement for procure the replacement and installation of three (3) vertical turbine submersible pumps with the following specifications: a) 3 - 15HP 475gpm Grundfos pumps model 475S150-2B b) 3 - 15HP Franklin motor 460v 3ph c) 3 - VFD Drive Yaskawa 15HP d) 3 - VFD Sensor and Manifold e) 3 - Stainless Steel 5' x 4" drop pipe f) 3 - Stainless Steel 4" x 6" bushing The Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining all licenses and permits to comply with applicable Federal, State and local laws, and codes and ordinances. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary for the removal of one (1) remaining pump and the installation of three (3) vertical turbine pumps to include the motors, VFDs and piping. The Vertical Turbine Pump replacement shall adhere to the following: a) Removal of one (1) 10hp Vertical Turbine Pump from the Main Lab Reservoir. Dispose of old pump and motors in government provided on-site scrap metal recycling container. Government electrician shall assist isolating power and restoring power. The current pump packages are supported by a pit-less entry fitting and will be reutilized for the new pump and motor packages b) Clean out reservoir if sand and debris are present. c) The packages shall hang from the provided 4' pit-less entry system; the Government's electrician shall provide assistance. d) The Contractor shall remove the old 4" x 5' piping sections and replace all three (3) sections with new stainless steel e) Operate and test each pump, motor and VFD to verify 100% operational; Government will inspect and approve final acceptance Please reference the attached RFQ for the Product Description (PD), as well as all applicable provisions and clauses. The award will be made to the lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA), responsible quote. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: technical capability to meet the Government's required specifications; and price. Delivery shall be FOB Destination.
