Description

Special Notice Request for Information Only The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO20 is looking for certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and or Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) sources for twenty eight (28) fully upholstered stacking seating specifically designed for a healthcare environment. Minimum Salient Characteristics required Chair Type 1 oDimensions: 36"H X 23.5"D X 20"W (18" Seat Width). oStacking chair frame and legs shall be of steel frame. oSeating shall have a sled base, 'wallsaver leg' design to protect walls from damage. Legs shall have glides to protect floors from damage. oSeating arms shall have polyurethane arm caps. oSeating shall have ample clean-out space between seat and back. oSeating shall be fully upholstered (seat, back, and closed arms), and upholstery seating shall be 100% Polyurethane / PVC Free with polyester backing. Upholstery finish shall be bleach cleanable, antimicrobial, anti-bacterial, and flame resistant, with 500,000 D.R. (Double Rubs) of durability. Upholstery Grade-in: 4 (price). Color: Hematite. oMetal frame finish color: Smooth metallic silver. o Qty. (20) Chair Type 2 oDimensions: 36"H X 31.5"D X 20"W (26" Seat Width). oStacking chair frame and legs shall be of steel frame. oSeating shall have a sled base, 'wallsaver leg' design to protect walls from damage. (8) This is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements and is a certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) vendor may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 3 business days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Only authorized representatives of the manufacturer will be considered. Equipment must be new, no used or refurbished equipment accepted. Responses are due by 08/15/2016 4:00 pm PST. In accordance with FAR and VAAR Part 8, this notice document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-88, 15 Jun 2016.
