Description

The primary purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to improve small business access to acquisition information and enhance competition by identifying contracting and subcontracting opportunities. It shall be the contractor's responsibility to view the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website daily for any further posting to this requirement. Synopsis shall close August 17, 2016, 0800 CST. POC is Steven Moya - 254 899 6032. The Central Texas Veterans Health Care Systems (CTVHCS) Contracting Office Temple, Texas; Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC) anticipates soliciting sources and subsequently awarding a contract for Telephone and Cable vision services. The contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, materials, supplies, and travel, to perform install work under this project. Telephone and Cable vision services are in support of a leased property providing housing for Veterans undergoing rehabilitation. A total of three (3) lines for cable and 3 phone lines will be required. One for each apartment leased. Industry standards apply as scope of work is basic thereafter. FCC and licensing requirement's are set by industry standards and fully enforced and applicable. This is not a SOW and is only intended to give further information not otherwise given through industry standard. Cable Services and Programming: Must be cable no satellite. This shall include all services required by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and any other federal laws or regulations. The contractor shall provide as a minimum, the following: Broad categories of programming (minimum): "24-hour News and Weather Programming "Sports "Public Broadcast Services "Major Network Programming - Texas Cable Box all wires and termination connections. One (1) cable box/receiver per location. Contractor Provided Equipment. The contractor will be reimbursed for lost, stolen, or damaged equipment beyond fair wear and tear. The contractor must submit a claim for this reimbursement. Contractor will replace any equipment that is found faulty or not working as needed in accordance with (IAW) with the contract. The existing Cable Television locations shall be used. Contractor will provide a monitored 24/7 help line for customer support. Phone services: This shall include all services required by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and any other federal laws or regulations. Contract shall provide phone number and dedicated land line. Contractor will replace any equipment that is found faulty or not working as needed in accordance with (IAW) with the contract. The existing phone jack locations shall be used. Contractor will provide a monitored 24/7 help line for customer support. No site visits are planned as a offeror please note the FCC and licensing requirement's are as set by industry standards. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract for a base and three (3) option years. Magnitude of Work is expected to be between $12,000 to $18,000. This notice is a sources sought synopsis not a request for competitive offers as such the determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
