Description

NOTICE OF INTENT The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to issue sole-source firm-fixed priced for (7) SEVEN LIFEPAK 1000 With ECG DISPLAY for use at the Central Alabama Veterans HealthCare System Ambulances and Facility Service 215 Perry Hill Road Montgomery, Alabama 36109 and the LIFEPAK at Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System (CAVHCS), Ambulances and Facility Service at 2400 Hospital Road, Tuskegee, Alabama 36083. Sole source procurement will be issued to Physio-Control Inc. is the sole manufacturer of Life Pak 1000 defibrillators and monitors. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b) (2), "soliciting from a single source." The NAICS code is 334510 and has a size standard of 1250 for this procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit quotations no later than 11:00pm ESDT, 16 August 2016 to: cheryl.eason@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Disclaimer and Important Notes: This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract or otherwise pay for the information provided in response. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate. Any organization responding to this notice should ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to determine the organization's qualifications to perform the work. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted. After a review of the responses received, a pre-solicitation synopsis and solicitation may be published in GSA eBUY. However, responses to this notice will not be considered adequate responses to a solicitation. Determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
