- AMENDMENT 05 Amendment 05 provides the following Questions & Answers: 1. Question: Reference PWS dated 4 Aug 2016, Section 11, Electromagnetic Environmental Effects Report: We intend to comply with this requirement by providing our standard CE certificate document that shows compliance to Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Directive 2014/30/EU. Is this an acceptable approach to fulfilling this requirement? Answer: No, a standard CE certificate is not acceptable. The report must specifically address/fulfill each requirement within Section 11 of the PWS. 2. Regarding PWS dated 4 Aug 2014, Section 3.9.8, Tilting Requirement - Question (a): What does Crane want to tilt? The actual mortar artillery round itself, while inside the part fixture (not advisable given the upright nature of the round)? The x-ray tube? The detector? Both the x-ray tube and detector? Answer: Both the x-ray tube and the detector shall tilt. The actual mortar artillery round shall not tilt. Question (b): Does the tilting need to be motorized, or is manual adjustment acceptable? Answer: Tilting shall be motorized. Manual adjustment is not acceptable. 3. Regarding PWS dated 4 Aug 2014, Section 3.9.8, Horizontal Travel Specification - Question (a): Just x-ray tube? Just detector? Both? Answer: Both the x-ray tube and detector. Question (b): Does this need to be motorized, or is manual adjustment acceptable? Answer: Shall be motorized. Question (c): Is manual adjustments for focal adjustment (in/out) and left right (horizontal), via simple lockable caster wheels on the x-ray and detector stands acceptable? Answer: No. Focal adjustment (in/out) and left right (horizontal) shall be motorized.
