- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial supply and/or service prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. This is a Request for Quote (RFQ) and the solicitation number is FA4814-16-T-F033. The 6th Contracting Squadron, MacDill AFB, Florida, requires the following: DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: Brand name or equal translation server Enterprise 8 Standard Edition: CLIN Description Quantity 0001 Translation Server - Enterprise 8 - Standard Edition - One (1) Perpetual License :ES8- 1PF1-AA0 1 0002 Translation Server - Enterprise 8 - Standard Edition - One (1) Perpetual License - Additional Languages :ES8-1PF1-AC1 0003 Annual Maintenance SKU:ES8-1PF1-AA0-M 1 12 months See below for salient characteristics. Any OR EQUAL offers will be sent to the technical advisor for compatibility/functionality, and must meet the salient characteristics provided. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The existence of the ombudsman does not affect the authority of the program manager, contracting officer, or source selection official. Further, the ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the adjudication of protests or formal contract disputes. The ombudsman may refer the party to another official who can resolve the concern. (b) Before consulting with an ombudsman, interested parties must first address their concerns, issues, disagreements, and/or recommendations to the contracting officer for resolution. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS The translation server is an off-line, enterprise software that combines rule-based and statistical machine translation. It can translate text and documents via Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) and Representational State Transfer (REST) Application Program Interfaces (APIs). This program will be installed on a Windows server. The translation server needs to have a perpetual license for 2 server installations, 2500 user limitation, and offer an additional annual maintenance fee for upgrades. It also must includes the following 18 language pairs to/from English: - Arabic - Chinese - French - German - Greek - Italian - Korean - Russian - Spanish - Portuguese - Malay - Thai - Hindi - Romanian - Turkish - Farsi - Hebrew - Pashto //end//
