Description

Amendment 2 - Bridge question and answer The US Forest Service has a requirement to install a prefabricated 100 foot span by six (6) foot wide pedestrian trail bridge across the Chestnut Branch to access Catawba Falls on the Grandfather Ranger District. Work includes concrete abutments, trail reconstruction, and erosion control. The project is in McDowell County, NC. Work will begin on 15 April 2017 due to the timing of this solicitation and the beginning of the NC trout moratorium. The magnitude of this project is betwee $100,000 and $250,000. Payment and Performance Bonds are required for this project. A bid bond of 20% is also required. The site visit date, time, and location is listed in the solicitation. This is a certified Small Business Association HUBZone set aside only. Two changes to this solicitation notice compared to the pre-solicitation notice: 1) The span changed from 120 foot span to now read 100 foot span.
