- Parachute Mask justification. The 355th Contracting Squadron intends to issue a sole-source procurement action with Carleton Technologies for the procurement of the following commodities: 2 EA: Parachutist Mask Regulator Assy (Small Narrow) - B47300-1 2 EA: Parachutist Mask Regulator Assy (Medium Narrow) - B47300-2 2 EA: Parachutist Mask Regulator Assy (Medium Wide) - B47300-3 2 EA: Parachutist Mask Regulator Assy (Large Wide) - B47300-4 3 EA: Double Offset Bayonet Assy, Right - B49560-1 3 EA: Strap and Buckle Assy, Phantom - B49233-1 3 EA: Screw, Retaining (Strap Retention) - B49569-1 2 EA: Face Piece (Small Narrow) - B49562-1 2 EA: Face Piece (Medium Narrow) - B49563-1 3 EA: Double Offset Bayonet Assy, Left - B49561-1 2 EA: Regulator, Mask Mounted, Phantom - B47315-1 3 EA: Adapter Communication - B47302-1 Please see attached Sole Source Justification. This requirement is conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b) and FAR 6.302-1. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source procurement action and is not a request for competitive proposals. Firms who want to challenge the sole source must submit an interest letter that demonstrates your firm's ability to provide an equivalent supply as described above. Interested parties must provide rationale as to why they should be considered. All interested firms must respond to this synopsis by 16 August 2016, 1630 Arizona Local Time to 2d Lt Benjamin Persian by e-mail, benjamin.persian.1@us.af.mil, Phone (520) 228-5405. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion for the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The 355th Contracting Office will not reimburse for any costs connected with providing the capability information.
