Description

This is a public synopsis of a forthcoming solicitation in accordance with FAR 36.213-2. This is NOT a solicitation, and NO solicitation documents are currently publically available. Description of Proposed work: Contractor shall furnish supervision, equipment, labor and materials and perform work for Project 623-16-103 Re-Roof Multiple Buildings at Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center, Muskogee, OK. Project 623-16-103 Re-Roof Multiple Buildings The facility condition assessment graded roofs as very poor to failing. The roof and trim is in disrepair. This scope is to define the construction procedures to provide, all labor, material, and equipment to entire replace roof system and trim. Contractor shall furnish all labor and materials to perform construction per drawings and specifications. Construction shall be completed within 120 days following Notice to Proceed. Procedures: 1.Remove all existing roof system to deck including, but not limited to insulation, ballast, tarps, built-up membrane, flashing, counter flashing reglet, gutters, and downspouts. 2.Contractor will remove all unnecessary penetrations that are no longer in use or needed. These will be marked by the COR. There are approximately 100 of these unnecessary penetrations. 3.Replace all perimeter flashing and around roof top units. 4.Replace all roof drain hardware, rings, screens, gutters, and downspouts. 5.Provide and attach R-16 rigid insulation, per mfg. specs. 6.Install new solid white TPO (Thermo-Plastic Olefin) system, according to manufactures' specifications, details and workmanship requirements. 7.Provide and install all new penetration boots and/or flashing, pitch pans will not be used unless it is the only way to seal the penetration. 8.Provide and install walk pads approximately 800 LF, where shown on drawings. 9.All materials demolished that can recycled, will be recycled or reused. Contractor will report the weight of all these items to the COR and/or GEMS coordinator. 10.Also, provide and install all items noted on drawings. 11.Lightning protection system will also be returned to its original condition. 12.Work site will be left orderly and secure while work is not being accomplished. 13.Provide and install sandstone colored metal parapet cap installed according the TPO mfg. details. 1)All work shall be performed in accordance with project Specifications and Drawings. 2)Contract shall be completed within 120 days following Notice to Proceed. Estimated Price Range: Between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00 Location of the work: Jack C. Montgomery VAMC, 1011 Honor Heights Drive, Muskogee, OK 74401-1318 Tentative dates: ***All dates are estimates. Actual dates will be listed in the Invitation for Bid. *** Issuance of invitation: on or about August 26, 2016 Organized Site Visit/ Walk Through: on or about August 21, 2016 Bid Opening: on or about September 26, 2016 Contract Period of Performance: 120 calendar days after issuance of notice to proceed Plans, drawings, and specifications as applicable will be made available electronically via FedBizOpps at the time the invitation to bid is posted. Award is restricted 100% for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. Bidders must be registered and certified online with http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov and must be registered at http://www.sam.gov in accordance with 38 CFR Part 74 and VAAR 819.70 to be eligible for award.
