- Description
- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) William J. Hughes Technical Center intends to extend the current contract (DTFAWA-11-D-00005) with Intelligent Decisions of Ashburn, VA. This extension will allow the continued the purchase of computer peripherals and storage media for a period of three (3) months. The purpose of this extension is to allow for a continuation in services so the FAA can complete the current competition for a new contract for this requirement. The FAA is currently in the process of competing a new Strategic Acquisition of Various Equipment and Supplies (SAVES) Office Essentials contract (DTFACT-15-R-00003) and the SAVES Information Technology (IT) hardware contract (DTFACT-15-R-00045) to include the current products on the Intelligent Decisions. It is anticipated that the remaining products under this current contract will be covered by the follow-on SAVES IT hardware contract under solicitation DTFACT-15-R-00045. Intelligent Decisions is the current provider under contract DTFAWA-11-D-00005. This contract is an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract under the Strategic Acquisition of Various Equipment (SAVES) Program. This contract provides simple purchasing of computer peripherals, storage media, large screens, touch screens, scanners and projectors for the FAA ™s CONUS and OCONUS locations. This is a sole source requirement to Intelligent Decisions as they are the only current provider of the above products under the FAA mandatory source SAVES contract. The follow-on contracts for this requirement are currently in the pre-award stages. The proposals received for solicitation DTFACT-15-R-00003 are currently under evaluation. The extension to the Intelligent Decisions contract will service as a bridge contract consisting of one three (3) month period. The bridge will serve to avoid any interruption in services while the FAA completes the current competition for a follow-on contract. Accordingly, a competitive solicitation is not available for this procurement. The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. The FAA is not liable for any costs associated with the preparing of a response to this announcement. Any questions or comments about this announcement must be directed to Elizabeth Ford Ochs at Elizabeth.Ford@faa.gov, no later than 9:00 a.m. EST on August 17, 2016.
