- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 10, VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System, 2215 Fuller Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48105, intends to solicit offers for six (6) Epidural Infusion Pumps. Items will be delivered to the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System at the address noted above. Contractors that can provide the items that meet the requirements below are requested to send their 1. Company Name, 2. DUNS number, 3. business size under NAICS 339112, 4. If the item(s) are available on a FSS contract or not and the FSS contract number if it is available on contract, 5. Notification if they are a VETBIZ registered VOSB/SDVOSB or not. REQUIREMENTS The Ann Arbor VA Health Care System, located at 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48105, is in need of an Epidural Infusion Pumps Medical Equipment system and corresponding training for the Ann Arbor VA Medical Center. The Contractor shall provide all units, casing and training with the following salient characteristics: "(6) Six Epidural Infusion Pumps "unique pumping system design "Cassette door that is not an integral part of pumping process "Cassette door must be on right side "Precise infusing rate at +2.5% accuracy "Resistant to fluid and dust ingress to ensure longer equipment life "Made with Lexan housing material to reduce potential for impact damage if dropped "Lockbox and accessories to allow controlled substances to be secured "Ability to program multiple preset infusion rates Contractor shall deliver to the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System (VAAAHS), Patient Care Service, 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, MI 48105, the specified items to be used by VAAAHS. The Contractor shall furnish all items within thirty (30) days of contract award and train nursing staff, pharmacy staff on software and biomed staff on hardware within 2 weeks of the delivery of the units, day of delivery and for the first three cases. The epidural pump must have patient controlled epidural analgesia functionality. As of this date in 2016, the facility will use a separate and distinct pump for the exclusive purpose of epidural drug administration. The epidural pump system must be compatible with the following drugs: bupivacaine, hydromorphone, and morphine. This list is not meant to be all inclusive. The epidural pump requires tubing with yellow stripe and WITHOUT additional injection ports on the tubing, to prevent inadvertent administration of other drugs by the epidural route. The tubing supplied will have universal luer lock connection tip so that standard medication syringes (50 or 60 ml size) with luer lock connection will be compatible. A separate custom syringe or syringe with integrated tubing will not be required or will be included at no cost to the facility. This Sources Sought will close on 8/24/2016 at 12:00 PM EDST.
