Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs in Temple Texas, VISN 17, intends to negotiate a sole-source contract with BECKMAN COULTER, INC - BREA, CA 92821-6232 to provide immunoassay chemistry testing reagents, parts and equipment services allowing VA Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service to maintain the level of patient care services needed: NAICS code 334516. Justification for this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a) (2) (ii) (A), only one responsible source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. If no valid responses are received, the South Texas Veterans Health Care System will proceed with the intended sole source contract.
