- Extended white paper submissions another year through July 21, 2017. Also, limiting PoP to one year for delivery if selected. The Navy's primary objective for this BAA is to develop operational capability that enable available technologies to confront expeditionary challenges, including irregular warfare, urgent/emergent and unfulfilled needs of the warfighter within a one year timeframe. SEA-06 NSW (PMS340) Industry Day Announcement For Confronting Expeditionary and Naval Special Warfare Capability Challenges The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) 06, Naval Special Warfare (NSW), Program Manager Sea (PMS340) will host an Industry Day in support of OPNAV 95 (Expeditionary Warfare) on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Dell, 300 M. St., Suite 500, Washington, DC 20003 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This will be an UNCLASSIFIED event. Visit Requests are not required. Attendance is limited to no more than two (2) individuals per organization. All attendees will be required to sign in and present ID. The Expeditionary and Naval Special Warfare Industry Day conference will be UNCLASSIFIED and only open to U. S. citizens. RSVP no later than 17 June 2015 to michael.dulong@navy.mil RSVPs received after June 17, 2015 will not be accepted and will be denied attendance. There is no registration fee for attending this Industry Day event. SEA-06 NSW (PMS340) is an acquisition program office that engineers, builds, buys, and sustains combat weapon systems that meet U.S. Navy and Naval Special Warfare’s current and future requirements. SEA-06 NSW (PMS340) seeks to identify technologies that enhance and/or accelerate military capabilities to confront Expeditionary and Naval Special Warfare capability challenges by meeting urgent/emergent operational needs. This Industry Day will provide information on a forthcoming Broad Area Announcement (BAA) currently in draft form and attached hereto. The Government intends to issue the formal BAA approximately 30 days after the aforementioned Industry Day. The Government is not soliciting, nor will it accept proposals as a result of this Industry Day. White papers will only be accepted in response to the formally issued BAA. This notice shall not be construed as a promise to contract or as a commitment of any kind. The Government will not award a contract resulting from this Industry Day Notification. UNCLASSIFIED electronic mail questions regarding the forthcoming Industry Day and attached draft BAA received prior to the close of business on 22 June 2015 will be accepted by the NAVSEA Contract Specialist David Hudson at david.l.hudson@navy.mil. The Contracting Officer for this BAA is Ms. Debra Mackall at debra.mackall@navy.mil. The Government will attempt to respond to all questions received before the Industry Day is conducted on 25 June 2015. However, the Government is not committed to respond to any questions. During the Industry Day conference, there will be opportunities for industry representatives to ask unclassified questions and/or to engage in discussions with Government Technical Program Office Representatives. The Government will distribute index cards at the inception of the conference to facilitate the Government’s ability to document the population of questions posed during the conference. The Government will review the submitted UNCLASSIFIED questions during the conference and respond to the questions that do not require further research. Following the Industry Day conference, a consolidated list of questions and answers will be posted within 10 days to http://www.fedbizopps.gov for review by all interested Industry Representatives. Please note that industry participation is voluntary and the Government will not reimburse respondents or attendees for any efforts expended as a result of or in response to this notice. No specific acquisition strategy or contractual plans will be addressed during the Industry Day.
