- Pre-Solicitation Notice for notice of intent to award a sole source contract. This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source contract to obtain ten (10) PowerTraxx Retrofit Kits 120VAC for direct patient care supply items, to be used at VA West Haven to be procured from FERNO WASHINGTON INC. 70 WEIL WAY, WILMINGTON OH 45177. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate and award a contract to procure PowerTraxx Kits from FERNO Inc., the sole manufacturer of this proprietary technology. The solicitation will be provided to the FERNO Inc, the sole source provider, on or about 8/24/2016. The applicable NAICS code is 339113 with a 1000 Employee Size Standard. The FSC/PSC is 6515. The authority for this action is FAR 6.302.1-1 Only One Responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
