THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. THE INFORAMTION BEING REQUESTED WILL BE USED FOR PLANNING PURPURSE ONLY. NO QUOTATIONS/PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED. ALL INTERESTED SOURCES ARE ALLOWED TO RESPOND. This notice does not constitute a solicitation for quotes or proposals and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. As stipulated in FAR 15.201, responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. The decision to solicit for a contract shall be solely within the Department of Veteran's Affairs discretion. Any information submitted by respondents to this Sources Sought Notice is voluntary and the Government will not reimburse any costs associated with the submission of information in response to this notice. Respondents will not be individually notified of any results of the review of the information received. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Long Beach CA 90822 anticipates a requirement for a Spectra Optia Apheresis System (Including Training/Installation). The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code proposed is 339112. The size standard for NAICS is 500 Employees. Brand Name or Equals are allowed. The Purpose of the Requirement: The Spectra Optia Apheresis System is a transportable therapeutic apheresis system that uses continuous flow centrifugation and optical detection technology (Automated Interface Management or AIM system). This advanced system offers operator choice and precision, and enables operators to perform a wide variety of procedures on one platform. Requirement: See Attached The Government's evaluation of the information received will be used to determine whether any subsequent solicitation for quotes should be issued based on full and open competition, full and open competition excluding sources, as a set-aside for small businesses, or any other particular small business designation (e.g. SDVOSB, HUBZone, 8(a), WOSB, VOSB, etc.). Responses shall be submitted electronically to the following e-mail address: Shannon Reid, Shannon.reid2@va.gov no later than 23 August 2016, 1:00 pm PST. NOTE: RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE SHALL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: Note: Subject Line of Email Shall State: "Response to Sources Sought for 600-16-1-441-0020" 1 - Name, Address, Point of Contact, Phone, Email Address 2 - Duns & Cage Information, Socio-Economic Group, annual revenue and employee size, any anticipated teaming arrangements, System for Award Management expiration date, Vetbiz.gov registration and expiration date. 3 - Whether or not the company is a supplier or manufacture. 4 - Whether or not the above requirement is on your GSA/FSS/NASA SEWP Schedule and its number or state that your quotation will be Open Market. 5 - If you will be offering the brand preferred or an equal. State the equal. 6 - A description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers. 7 - Any responses involving teaming agreements/subcontractors should delineate between the work that will be accomplished by the prime and the work accomplished by the teaming partners/subcontractors. The Government will use this information in determining its small business set-aside decision. 8 - Status as a Foreign-owned/foreign-controlled firm and any contemplated us of foreign national employees on this effort.
