- Description
- A single award, one-time procurement for the U.S. Census Bureau requiring such requirements as prepress, proofing, printing, finishing, and distribution, as specified below: PRODUCT: <Prod> Pamphlets, cards, letters, and envelopes. These specifications cover the production of 49 items: three 16-page saddle-stitched or paste-on-fold pamphlets (questionnaires); two 32-page saddle-stitched pamphlets (questionnaires); 19 versions of letters/brochures printing either one-sided or face and back; 13 postcards/reminder cards; and 12 windowed envelopes. Two questionnaires print in black and Process Cyan. Two questionnaires print in black, Process Cyan and Pantone 368 (Green). One questionnaire prints in black, Pantone Purple and Pantone 320 (Teal). Six letters print in black and Process Cyan. Three information inserts print in black and 5 letters print in black, Process Cyan and Pantone 368 (green). Five letters print in black, Pantone Purple and Pantone 320 (teal). Nine envelopes print in 2 colors (black and Pantone 199 (red) on one side. Three envelopes print in black. Twenty-five Pamphlets (Questionnaires), letters and cards will require variable imaging in the form of address labels, barcodes, or ID numbers. Additional operations include binding, assembly, packing, distribution, and mailing. The Government is seeking a Contractor that can provide, in addition to the printing, finishing, and assembly of packages, distribution via USPS mail meeting all appropriate requirements for automation discounts. </Prod> QUANTITY : <Quantity> Approximately 260,000 pamphlets (questionnaires); 650,000 letters; 250,000 postcards/reminder cards; and 800,000 Window Envelopes. </Quantity> NOTE: It is anticipated that TOTAL overall quantities will be modified after award and prior to production. The adjustment will be dependent on final Census Bureau testing requirements and could result in a decrease OR increase of total production quantities by approximately 15%. Adjustment to purchase order price will be made in accordance with contractors' supplied additional rates for the affected item(s).
