Description
This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY for market research purposes. We have a requirement for NoiseXt LNS-18 low noise 4 to 18 Gigahertz RF synthesizer. LNS-18 must have the following the specifications: This is a solicitation for a very low absolute phase noise and amplitude noise RF synthesizer. Looking for the equivalent or better to a modified NoiseXt LNS-18 low noise 4 to 18 Gigahertz RF synthesizer with the following modifications: 1. One millihertz frequency resolution tuning range. 2. Output frequency range extended downward to eight Megahertz. That is, frequency output range of RF synthesizer is 8 Megahertz to 18 Gigahertz. 3. Non-harmonic spruious noise shall be less than -50dBc from 1 Hertz to 1 kilohertz offset from carrier. 4. Non-harmonic spurious noise shall be less than -80dBc above 1 kilohertz from carrier. 5. 13dBm maximum output or better 6. Absolute phase noise specs should be equivalent or better to the NoiseXt with an internal 10 Megahertz oven controlled crystal oscillaotr installed. For reference the typical specs are as follows: For a 10 MHz carrier the absolute phase noise (APN) in dBc per Hertz versus frequency offset from carrier (FOFC) should be as follows: For a 10 Hertz FOFC, APN should be less than or equal to -137 dBc/Hertz, For 100 Hertz FOFC, APN should be less than or equal to -150 dBc/Hertz, At 1 Kilohertz FOFC, APN should be less than or equal to -167 dBc/Hertz, At 10 Kilohertz FOFC, APN should be less than or equal to -173 dBc/Hertz, At 100 Kilohertz FOFC, APN should be less than or equal to -174 dBc/Hertz, At 1 Megahertz FOFC, APN should be less than or equal to -175 dBc/Hertz. Vendor should be able to able to provide a three year warranty for the synthesizer. Vendor should be able to guarantee RMA in case of returns.
