Description

A. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. As information obtained from this announcement will potentially be utilized to help develop the Government acquisition strategy (including, but not limited to, tenability of a small business set-aside), it is paramount that interested parties fully respond. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing. The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified businesses. B. Interested contractors shall provide a capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to perform as a contractor for the work/products described in section E of this announcement. The capabilities statement must contain: (a) Company name (b) Is your company the manufacturer of the product? (c) Is your company providing the product of an item manufactured by a small business? The Government will not reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition has been determined to be 339112 SURGICAL AND MEDICAL INSTRUMENT with a size standard of 1,000 employees. ? D. E. TEMPORARY PACEMAKER GENERATOR: - The purchase of the Medtronic Model 5392 Temporary Pacemaker generator operates with both single and dual chamber capability. It will be used for temporary stimulation of the heart when a patient goes into a cardiac rhythm or conduction defect during either a Cardiac Catheterization or Electrophysiology procedure. The Temporary Pacemaker may also be used prophylactically when performing high risk or acute cardiac catheterizations for patient safety.
