- Description
- This project is located on the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest. The Contractor shall provide all technical expertise, labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals necessary to complete the work required. Conduct an analysis to identify high-priority and non-high-priority red tree vole sites using the process outlined in: High-Priority Site Management Recommendations for the Red Tree Vole, Version 1.0. (April, 2016). The final product shall consist of a report which will be shared with the public through project-level National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) decision documents. Analysis shall be at the fifth-field watershed scale and identify sites which would provide a reasonable assurance of RTV persistence on Forest Service lands. Spatial and tabular data will be provided by the Forest Service to the extent available; such as, results of prior RTV surveys and agency land use allocations. Contractor shall utilize the referenced management recommendations to identify: 1) land-use allocations managed consistent with red tree vole conservation; 2) high-priority sites outside of those areas, and 3) connectivity areas linking sites to provide a reasonable assurance of species persistence for red tree voles. Contractor shall also identify non-high-priority sites within the fifth-field watershed, including areas where pre-disturbance surveys and site management are no longer needed, as well as key information gaps and what new information would trigger a revision to the selections made. Work will start after award; all work shall be completed by May 1, 2017.
