- Small Business Sources Sought Notice for Office Furniture Background Information: The NIMH at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda is having an office suite built in 4 modules in building 10, existing rooms 4C103, 110 a double module, and 114. This space will be renovated to create 2 person offices on each end with a larger open area, between them to house 6 members of Dr. Christopher Baker's lab for a total of 10 individuals. This project will outfit the spaces identified in the background information with furniture to serve NIMH staff. Project Description: NIMH requires workstations that allow a degree of privacy but at the same time provides for conversation between adjacent workstations. All workstations require wire management from the work surface to the wall under the desks to connect to wall mounted electrical and LAN outlets. Work surfaces shall be laminate. No overhead storage is desired. Specifically, the NIMH requires the following: Each of the 2 person offices will require: • 2 L shaped desks with under counter 2 drawer lateral files and mobile pedestal with cushion • 2 office chairs • 1 collapsible table on wheels • 2 guest chairs • A white board • Accessory track with a paper holder and 2 pencil holders The open area will require: • Six L shaped desks each with a box box pedestal and mobile pedestal with cushion • 6 office chairs • Height adjustable screen to allow for conversations between neighbors when set low and greater privacy when set higher. • Accessory track with a paper holder and 2 pencil holders Contractor Requirements: The contractor shall be experienced in the installation of the product they provide. Government Responsibilities: The Government will provide uninhibited access to the work area and will inspect the work upon completion to ensure is meets the stated requirements. Work shall be performed during regular work hours 6am to 5pm on the National Institutes of Health main campus in Bethesda, MD. A floor plan of the space to be outfitted shall be provided by the Government. Anticipated period of performance: The estimate delivery and installation of the office furniture is within 120 days or receipt of the purchase order. Delivery and installation shall be included. A firm fixed-price is contemplated for this award.
