- Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for P-3C Orion Domestic Supermicro SuperWorkstation, RFQ N61340-16-T-0111 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. INTRODUCTION: The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) Contracts Department, Orlando, FL announces its intention to procure five (5) P-3C Orion Supermicro SuperWorkstations. The United States Navy (USN) is in the process of replacing the Maritime and Reconnaissance P-3C Orion aircraft (P-3C) with the Multi-mission Maritime Aircraft P-8A Poseidon (P-8A). However, in order to meet the current fleet training requirements for the P-3C, the USN still requires upgrades to ensure the training devices maintain the same configuration as the P-3C aircraft. Numerous technological advances have been made in computer equipment over recent years. The procurement of these five Supermicro SuperWorkstations enables current technology to interface with legacy Military standards, specifically MIL-STD-1397C. Description of Supplies: The acquisition will include the procurement of P-3 Supermicro SuperWorkstations. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This solicitation requires registration with the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to award, pursuant to applicable regulations and guidelines. Registration information can be found at www.sam.gov. The offeror shall reference the Request for Proposal (SF 1449) for applicable clauses and terms and conditions. In addition, proposal submission instructions are specified in the Request for Proposal (SF 1449). The proposal is due no later than 1700 US Eastern Standard Time on 06 September 2016.
