Description
SCOPE OF WORK FOR A/E CONTRACTOR A.GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Renovate Building 50, Rooms 4,40, 4E and Corridor, and Include in HVAC Upgrade Additional Rooms 4A, 4C, 2, 2A and 28 and Adjacent Corridor. General Intention:This project is to create swing space by renovating and finishing approximately 2000 SF of partially finished space, and to design an efficient HVAC system to serve that area and adjacent areas totaling approximately 3200 SF. The scope of this project is to renovate and provide finishes in unfinished or partially finished space of approximately 2000 SF for use as occupied swing space. This area includes mechanical space in room 40, a segment of corridor, Room 4E and Room 4. The project also includes provision of HVAC adequate to serve the renovated area and occupied swing space in this area (Rooms 4A, 4C, 2, 2A and 28 and additional corridor). The project includes analysis of existing HVAC systems and components serving both the renovated space and an additional area of approximately 1200 SF of finished space to design and provide an efficient and integrated HVAC system to serve the entire area of approximately 3200 SF. Consideration will be given to whether work will also include the adjacent stair tower 48. Phasing shall also be designed into the project; including staff occupied space and utility outages. The design shall address all impact items created by the project and show remediation. The scope of work shall consider design bid deduct alternates to assure that budget requirements are met.
