Description

INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 6 intends to enter into sole-source procurement with Ventana Medical Systems, 1910 E Innovation Park Drive, Tucson, AZ 85737. The requirement is for Ventana consumables (reagents, antibodies, and supplies) for the Salisbury VA Medical Center for FY17. The consumables are specific to Ventana H&E Stainer, Benchmark, and Symphony staining equipment. The consumables are used to perform slide-based tissue analysis and diagnosis of cancer and infectious disease. NAICS code 325413 applies to this procurement. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to meet this requirement. This notice of Intent is not a request for quotations. Interested parties who believe they can meet this requirement must submit information of their capabilities to meet this requirement no later than 10:00 a.m. EDT, August 29, 2016 to: darla.hurlock@va.gov. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. No solicitation will be made available. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
