- Description
- AMENDMENT TO SOLICITATION #0004. This is an amendment to a previously synopsized requirement issued for the purpose of providing interested parties questions/answers to assist in preparation of quotes. The Q & A is as follows: Question 1: On page 2 of the SOW it says the area referred to as the Pacific West for this study is ¿all of Washington with areas in Idaho and Oregon. ¿ Can you provide what areas of Idaho and Oregon this will cover? Answer 1: At a minimum the areas will cover the Coast and Cascade Range. The National Park Service conducted an Earliest Americans Theme Study for the Eastern United States (Theme Study) in 2004 by a small group of scholars. This Theme Study covers only the eastern states and was prepared by dividing up efforts per NPS regions (Northeast, Southeast and Midwest). The Pacific West Regional Office has a requirement for this project to address this shortcoming and other synthesis problems by sub-regional or physiographic context, site data assessments for research and a general foundation for focusing site nomination and preservation efforts for early sites [15,000 - 9,000 BP] in the pacific west.
